Read this first. These are clinical pregnancy rates, not live birth rates, so they are not directly comparable to a clinic that quotes live births. They cover IVF and ICSI frozen embryo transfers from January to December 2024, our largest dataset, and are yet to be verified by the HFEA.

Your IVF Journey
One Clear Path, From First Call To Your First Scan

Your consultation
An initial consultation with a fertility specialist to review your history and answer your questions.
- Step 2
Investigations
Tests to look at ovarian function, sperm and hormone levels, so your plan fits you.
- Step 3
Diagnosis
Your consultant explains the results and proposes the best course of treatment for you.
- Step 4
Starting stimulation
Medication to stimulate your ovaries, self-injected over 11 to 14 days with our nurse’s guidance.
- Step 5
Progress monitoring
Regular scans and blood tests, usually every 2 to 3 days, to track how you respond.
- Step 6
Trigger injection
A final injection matures your eggs, with collection following 35 to 37 hours later.
- Step 7
Egg collection
Your eggs are collected under sedation, and a semen sample is provided the same day.
- Step 8
Fertilisation
Eggs and sperm are combined in our incubator, and the growing embryos are closely watched.
- Step 9
Embryo transfer
Your best embryos are placed back gently, and good spare embryos can be frozen for later.
- Step 10
The two week wait
After transfer, a wait of 14 to 16 days before taking a pregnancy test.
- Step 11
Pregnancy scans
Your first scan two weeks after a positive test, then we guide you on to your GP’s care.
