Introduction to Natural cycle IVF?

Natural cycle IVF simply means the of collection and fertilisation of the one egg (a single oocyte) that a woman releases during her normal monthly menstrual cycle.

Who is it suitable for?

Natural Cycle IVF is suitable for:

woman who wish to limit the amount of medication they take during a fertility treatment
those who can’t take medications due to another medical condition or when receiving cancer treatment
those who do not wish to freeze any eggs or embryos
those who do not want to risk a multiple pregnancy

How does it work?

The process is similar to conventional IVF in that it involves the collection of an egg under sedation and the fertilization of that egg in the lab. The resulting embryo is then transferred back to the uterus on day 3 or 5 of embryo development.

Risks and side effects

Depending on the quality of your eggs and sperm, we cannot guarantee that fertilization will occur. Additionally, because you will only have produced one egg for retrieval and fertilization, there will not be an opportunity to freeze any additional resulting embryos that you would have had using a traditional stimulated IVF cycle.
