Carmel Dennehy
Fertility Implications and support counsellor

Carmel has a clinical background (over 25 years in the NHS) and, for almost 20 years she has practised as a Specialist Counsellor/Psychotherapist, working with individuals and couples impacted by fertility issues, or pregnancy problems, or in need of post natal support. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and she is a registered and accredited member of the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP). She is also a qualified clinical supervisor.
Over the years Carmel is been a guest lecturer at various Universities including University College London (UCL) on the Reproductive Science and Women’s Health MSc. In 2018, Carmel was a guest speaker at The Fertility Fest and she spoke at The Royal Society of Medicine on Pregnancy loss.
Carmel’s current fertility practice is within the Reproductive Medicine department at University College London Hospital (UCLH), the Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH) and Carmel joined our clinic in 2018. She is passionate about supporting people to navigate the challenges faced by fertility and/or their pregnancies.
